Feed the Body, Feed the Soul - Brad M.
Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh, along with others, were part of a event to packaging bags of rice for local food pantries serving local families in need. During the 12 hour event, we worked a 2 hour shift alongside our fellow coworkers and other volunteers. The mood was fast and upbeat with the help of the dueling piano's playing contemporary songs and encouraging the volunteers to sing along. I had never done an event like this before, and had seen other Subaru retailers doing similar events and was glad that I was able to participate in this event. After the event was completed, a grand total of 224,448 pounds of rice was bagged and packaged! This event truly lives up to its name...it definitely fed the souls of every volunteer. We are looking forward to participating again next year and making an even bigger impact.
Continuing Subaru Loves to Help - Jim B.
I wanted to submit a quick thank you to Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh and their Subaru Loves to Help program! We have been able to utilize the generous donation throughout the year for our families that we help throughout the year. Here are some pictures of volunteers preparing for the children's needs as they get ready for school. These items are worth more than gold to these children. Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh, THANK YOU from the many children and families that you have helped through our partnership.
The Subaru love is something to be thankful for at this time of year. - Emily G.
We received a frantic call from our daughter who said that our Outback had died and that they were in the Culvers drive thru. As I tried to calm my daughter down, my partner called Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh to get some assistance. The service department had closed for the weekend and were told that someone would reach out on Monday morning. I decided to head to Culvers to see if there was anything that I could do to get the Outback started and to calm my daughter. As I was on my way, my partner called and said that our delivery specialist, Brad, had seen the message, called and said that he was on his way to help. Brad assured my partner, and our family that we were going to be taken care of and not to worry. I was shocked, but grateful that he was on his way to help. I arrived and tried everything that I could to get the Outback started...to no avail. Within 10 minutes, Brad showed up with his trademark smile and told us not to worry. I said that I couldn't believe that he had dropped everything to come and help us. He gave me that reassuring smile and said, "That's what we are here for. You are part of the Subaru family, and we take care of our own." I have never had this type of response from any other vehicle brand before and this made me realize that I will never own another brand vehicle except for a Subaru! He hopped in the Outback and noted that the battery was dead and that we needed a battery jump. He positioned his vehicle in front of ours and connected the battery cables and was able to successfully and safely jumpstart our Outback. We all breathed a sigh of relief and Brad suggested that we follow him to the retailer so our Outback could be checked out on Monday by the service department. We jumped back into the Outback and our van to follow Brad back to Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh. Little did I know that Brad had called his service manager and secured a loaner vehicle so our family wouldn't be inconvenienced. Everything happened so quickly and efficiently that in my shock, all I could do was give Brad a hug and say "Thank You!" My kids, mother and partner all agreed...Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh is our retailer for life! But more than that, they are part of our FAMILY! As I think back on this, I am reminded that true service doesn’t end at the retailer door. It shows up when you are stranded in the Culvers drive thru, and someone decided that helping is simply the right thing to do.
National Arbor Day and Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh - James B.
WOW! I am so thrilled to say that my two favorite entities, National Arbor Day and Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh, teamed up for a great cause! This year we were able to select a tree that was specifically chosen for this area by the National Arbor Day Foundation, and then when the time was right, we were able to pick up our tree from Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh. Our retailer had 100 trees to be reserved, and at the day of pick up...only 4 trees were unspoken for! I got to the retailer early to get my tree, but to sit and watch the fun of others stopping by to pick up their trees. Kudos to Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh and their team organizer who had an amazing set up and the directional signage was very helpful. Not only did they have the trees ready for pick up, with the new 'parents' name on the specific tree, but they also had a Bake Sale to benefit Make A Wish. So, not only did we get our reserved tree, but some sweet treats too. There was also a free take away, a biodegradable pot with a seed packet for flowers! Thank you again to the National Arbor Day Foundation and Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh for your amazing work!
Subaru Loves the Earth/Earth Day clean up - Jim M.
Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh truly lives the Subaru Love Promise and this year's Earth Day clean up was no different. I have been a proud Subaru owner and this year I was lucky enough to have my service at the same time as the Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh team was out picking up trash from the frontage road and around their buildings. It made me very happy to see many of the team members out in their safety vests and picking up garbage that had either been dropped by careless drivers or blown around from other locations. I was energized by this amazing group of team members who picked up around 6 big garbage bags of trash to go and do the same in my own neighborhood. Kudos to Subaru for making Subaru Loves the Earth a big part of their daily/weekly/monthly/yearly focus. I have looked into ways that I can do the same in my own neighborhood and to get others excited to help beautify the Earth. Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh always has shown their support to their brand and to their communities. Oshkosh is very lucky to have Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh! I look forward to seeing what Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh has in store for next year's Subaru Loves the Earth!
Coats and Shoes, making a HUGE difference in kids in need. - Jim B.
Thanks so much to Bergstrom Subaru for their great generosity to Fr. Carr’s. The donation of coats and shoes, over the past couple of years, have been such great gifts to many children and teens. Just a few examples of people who have been helped are: A family with seven children ages 5-11 (two sets of twins) came as refugees to Oshkosh in fall of 2023. They came with few belongings and moved here from a warmer climate, so had no warm jackets. With the timing of their arrival, they missed out on any local programs to get coats. Their dad had started working, but a large amount of his pay was going to rent and utilities. When the children were able to receive coats from the Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh partnership, it was a huge relief. The smiles were definitely worth more than any payment. You cannot put a price on that! A contact at the local public middle school became aware of a few students who did not have warm coats and knew their families were struggling financially. She tried to find help for them, but again many of the programs were either finished or out of supplies, and Fr. Carr’s was able to get coats to them -thanks to Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh! Another family moved to Oshkosh from Afghanistan. The agency helping them was able to find coats for everyone in the family except one teenage boy. The look of joy on his face when he was given one of the coats was priceless. This is why we are so very thankful and blessed to have Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh as a committed partner. There are many families who are trying very hard to keep their bills paid and their children safe, warm, and fed. Fortunately there are programs and food banks to help feed families, but with increased housing and utility costs, people struggle to buy many other basic needs. The coats and shoes are such great gifts to the children. We are so grateful to Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh for their kindness and generosity. These are just some of the amazing and far reaching benefits our partnership with Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh has accomplished. We are very blessed to have such a wonderful partner. THANK YOU Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh!
Subaru Loves Learning - Jesse P.
Once again, Valley Christian School was blessed and honored by receiving the Subaru Loves Learning grant to help our teachers provide learning aides for their classrooms. Our teachers were able to get some of the following items for their respective classrooms: weighted stuffed animals for those anxious students, wobble stools, books for classroom libraries, Chromebooks and necessary charging stations, hands-on language arts materials, math manipulatives, varied levels of books for classroom library, sensory/regulation tools, whiteboards and markers, and percussion hardware and mallets. Our teachers also received a much needed 'Teacher Survival Kit' during Teacher Appreciation Week. The teachers especially enjoyed the sweet treats! We are very happy to have such a great partnership with Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh.
Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh - An Incredible Community Partner - Brenda K.
Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh staff were thrilled to continue their longstanding partnership with the patients of Aurora Oshkosh Vince Lombardi Cancer Center this past month. On June 23, several representatives of the Bergstrom team drove to the cancer center in vehicles filled with warm, soft blankets and notes of support for local blood cancer patients. The Subaru Loves to Care Initiative has partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) across the U.S. for the past 10 years in support of LLS’ mission to cure blood cancer and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS staff member, Shannon Ratchman, joined the group and was inspired by the number of Bergstrom Subaru customers who engaged in writing “hearts of hope” messages for local patients. She felt such a “spirit of compassion and collaboration around something so much larger than ourselves”. Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh has gone beyond the delivery of blankets and notes for patients, and has opted to support the LLS Urgent Need Program, Pediatric, which will provide financial relief to blood cancer patients to help offset non-medical costs associated with treatment, such as transportation, food, housing, utilities, etc. On behalf of LLS and the patients and families we serve, thank you for your continued partnership through the Subaru Loves to Care program. We truly couldn’t do what we do without your support, heart and unwavering commitment to our community!
Bergstrom Subaru Teams Up to Support Local Community - Shellee B.
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Oshkosh, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Bergstrom Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Bergstrom Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/22/2025, Bergstrom Subaru donated 150 coats & 150 shoes/socks to Father Carr's Place 2B. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.
Drive for a Cure - Judy T.
I was able to attend the Drive for a Cure event that my Bergstrom Subaru retailer was involved with. It was fun seeing many familiar faces at this amazing event. This team, along with other team members, over the course of 2 days was able to raise over $40,000 for Breast Cancer Research. This was accomplished by driving different vehicles on a pre selected course. I was surprised that this event has a lifetime donation of $660,000 to Breast Cancer Research. This event brings many people together...recent diagnosed cancer patients, current cancer patients under treatment, cancer survivors and those that have experienced the loss of a loved one to cancer. Hearing many stories from these people has helped me be grateful for what I have and for my health. I was able to talk with another participant who was carrying a photo frame with him. I asked why he looked both happy and sad. He said that he and his wife have always attended this event religiously. Then they received the news that his wife had breast cancer and even through the treatments they made a promise to attend the event. This past year, his wife passed away from cancer. He said that he made the promise to his wife that no matter what...he would still attend the Drive for a Cure event and would bring her along. I watched this man walk out to an available vehicle to drive, open the passenger door and buckle his wife's photo in the passenger seat. Then walked to the driver's door, got in and let the emotion wash over him. Then he drove off with his wife by his side as he had done so many years before. I never realized just how much of an impact this event had until that moment.
Bergstrom Subaru Loves Dental - Nkaoxue S.
We got a new Subaru Outback thanks to our partnership with Bergstrom Subaru. This was a great addition for our team/staff. We were thrilled to be receiving another wonderful vehicle from our partners with Bergstrom Subaru. This vehicle is a real testament to Bergstrom Subaru's strong community values and ties. Without the generous support from our friends at Bergstrom Subaru, our team would need to use their personal vehicle, which could be challenging for scheduling and accommodating all of our supplies. Our dental team makes around 200 mobile visits a year, which provides 2,607 appointments and seeing 1,336 children. This Subaru Outback with its amazing AWD has helped our staff make it to and from our different locations in all types of weather! We had one of Bergstrom Subaru's dedicated delivery specialists come out and train our team on all of the features/functions. I cannot tell you how thrilled my team was to have this type of professional dedication to our staff being able to use and understand everything this Outback has to offer. THANK YOU BERGSTROM SUBARU!

We were thrilled to be receiving another wonderful vehicle from our partners with Bergstrom Subaru. This vehicle is a real testament to Bergstrom Subaru's strong community values and ties. Operation Warm '25 - Jim B.
I wanted to express my gratitude on behalf of all of the children helped by Bergstrom Subaru's generosity in donating much needed winter coats, shoes and socks. To see the smile on the children as they got to pick their new winter coats, and if needed, new shoes and socks. We take these items for granted and when you see the smile appear on these children's faces as they choose their coat/shoes/socks...this means so much to them. It is something that is brand new, and is all theirs. Many of the families that come through Father Carr's place 2B, have had hand-me-downs and may not have had the pleasure of receiving something brand new. Subaru Loves to Help/Operation Warm makes it possible for these children to finally have something that is all theirs. We have been very fortunate to work with Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh for over 5 years and we look forward to our continued partnership. God's blessings to Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh and Subaru.
Special Birthday suprise - Scott J.
I know that to some people this may seem insignificant, but I wanted to share my experience with Bergstrom Subaru of Oshkosh. I recently had purchased a green Subaru Outback and had only heard of the chewbaru dog toys. When I went back for my Love-Encore, I asked my specialist if there was any way to get the Outback chewbaru. I said that I wanted to display it in my new Subaru and create a talking point with others. Brad said that he would look into locating this Outback chewbaru. In the interim, he offered me a green Crosstrek chewbaru. I was thrilled with even that as an offering. I jokingly said that my birthday was in a couple of days. Brad exceeded my expectations, by sending my a package. When I opened it, I found my green Subaru Outback chewbaru! I truly appreciated that gesture. Not many people would have gone the extra mile to get me something like this dog toy. I proudly display it on my dash and when people ask me about it, I smile and say..."Let me tell you about my Subaru retailer in Oshkosh...".
Subaru Love's Pets - George S.
I was able to attend an event at the Neenah Animal Shelter as a celebration of their new facilities. When I arrived, I was very happy to see that my dealership was being represented...Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh. Their Love-Encore specialist was there and was sharing in the excitement of the day. It was awesome that they had brought a new 2025 Forester to display and let people check out. Subaru does so much for the communities they are a part of, as well as nationally. I was able to not only tour the new facilities, but got to check out the newest Forester on display. I look forward to seeing what Subaru and Neenah Animal Shelter have in store in the future!
Valentine's Day love - Bev M.
I wanted to say how appreciative I am to the gentleman who offered me a flower while I was at Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh. To be honest, you have no idea how that small gesture made me feel. I recently lost my husband and he always made a big deal that I had flowers for special occasions, such as Valentine's Day. I woke up feeling down already that I wouldn't get any flowers and I didn't want to see others getting flowers as it would make me even sadder. I arrived for my service appointment and after being checked in, I made my way to the guest lounge. In a few moments a gentleman, dressed up in a tux, came and offered me a flower and wished me a Happy Valentine's Day. I wish I had let that man know how much his gesture meant to me, but I also didn't want to be a blubbering fool. I always knew that Subaru cared and showed their love, but this gesture took the Subaru love to the next level. THANK YOU Subaru for providing an exceptional product, but also for training your staff to find ways to make a difference. You made this old woman's heart happy, and I know that my husband was smiling.
Hot Diggity Dog - Subaru Loves Pets at the Neenah Animal Shelter - Cindy F.
Bergstrom Subaru of Oshkosh selected the Neenah Animal Shelter as one of their local charities to benefit from the Subaru Loves Pets campaign. Together, we ran a two-week campaign to clear the shelters. We wrapped up the campaign with a Hot Diggity Dog Day/open house. Bergstrom Subaru brought a vehicle and set-up a booth with promotional items. We also had hot dogs, warm cider, a lure course for the dogs, a professional photographer for family portraits, and an open house to promote adoptable animals. On the day of the event Millie (dog) and two cats, Etsy & Spirit found their forever families. Even more amazing is a total of 37 cats and dogs found their forever families through adoption promotions. Thank you to Bergstrom Subaru of Oshkosh for staying true to your Love Promise while also helping us to stay true to our mission of saving animals and serving community!
Kindness through the storm - Amy O.
We received a letter from our local hospital sharing how much our donation of blankets and notes of encouragement mean. "There's a special kind of warmth that comes not from a blanket, but from the kindness behind it. Your generous donation of blankets to the Aurora Vince Lombardi Cancer Center Clinic has enveloped our patients in that very warmth. On behalf of all the lives you'be touched, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you. Cancer is a journey no one should walk alone, and your thoughtful contribution ensures that our patients feel supported every step of the way. Not just a gift of comfort, each blanket also carries the message that someone cares, bringing a powerful sense of community and hope into what can often be a challenging time. Your act of kindness joins a chorus of supporters who've made it their mission to stand with those in need. Together, you're transforming lives, one compassionate gesture at a time. And it's not just patients who are grateful. Stories of your generosity resonate throughout our staff, inspiring us all to keep pushing forward in our mission. Thank you for wrapping our patients in care and compassion. Your support truly makes a difference, and we're deeply grateful to have Bergstrom Subaru of Oshkosh as part of our community's fabric of kindness."
Subaru Loves Dogs - Jim M.
This past May, the Bergstrom Subaru Oshkosh team held their Subaru Loves Pets event. It is always a fun time and that shows how the team and guests interact with each other. I've only heard of this event but never actually attended because I thought you could only attend if you had a dog. Boy was I wrong! To the untrained eye it might have seemed chaotic, but the team worked together seamlessly and there were no hitches. There were two animal shelters that had pictures of adoptable pets that were looking for their forever home. Besides the animal shelters, they had grooming and pet pictures. Dock Dogs were there and it was amazing to see how far some of those dogs can jump. I know that over the course of two days, they saw several hundred dogs and people. Everyone in attendance was smiling from ear to ear. I know that the team was 'dog' tired at the end of the event, but they exceeded any of my preconceived thoughts about the event.
Make A Wish - Helping make dreams come true - Grant K.
Bergstrom Subaru in Oshkosh definitely gets behind their initiatives in lots of fun ways. I am always amazed at how the team goes above and beyond to help. This year, the team held a cookout/bake sale/ice cream sundaes to help support making dreams come true for local Make A Wish kids. I had brought my vehicle in for service and was welcomed by the team and encouraged to check out the activities. I have a special place in my heart for Make A Wish kids, as one of my cousins was a Make A Wish kid. Seeing what my cousins family had to go through and how that trip gave them a break to be a family and not really worry about doctor's appointments or more needle pokes. It allowed my cousin and their family to have fun and relax. It energized them and gave them hope. So when I saw all of the items for Silent Auction and all of the yummy treats and food, I had to support this amazing team. The Subaru team had an individual goal of $6,500 and that was accomplished by test drives, and other fundraising that the team came up with. I was proud to say that I was able to assist the team in reaching their goal. The team, in conjunction with all of the other Bergstrom locations were able to meet and exceed their goal of raising over $355,000 for Make A WIsh. I know that I'm coming back to see this amazing team and help support the team making dreams come true.
Bergstrom Subaru Continues to Help Blood Cancer Patients with Generous Donation - Brenda K.
Longtime volunteer and board member with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), Dayton Henderson, was grateful to be able to take part in a recent special delivery to Aurora Oshkosh Cancer Clinic. As a blood cancer survivor, Dayton greatly appreciates the partnership between Bergstrom Subaru and Aurora Oshkosh Cancer Clinic. Earlier in July, a team of Bergstrom Subaru staff delivered warm, beautiful blankets to the cancer clinic as well as notes of encouragement for blood cancer patients. Through our partnership, Subaru of America retailers will have supported nearly 350,000 cancer patients nationwide by the end of this year. But this is not just about blankets and encouraging notes - this partnership strengthens relationships with local hospitals & allows LLS to reach new patients and connect them to critical resources that can be lifesaving as well as improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Subaru is proud to be LLS’s largest automotive donor, and Dayton is proud to be the owner of a Subaru Outback purchased at Bergstrom Subaru. Dayton sends this heartfelt message to the Subaru team, “Thanks so much for your continued partnership with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on this program. As I mentioned, this means a lot to me personally — and even more to the patients and their families who are currently dealing with blood cancers in our communities. Thank you!”
Subaru Loves to Care - Making a difference to cancer patients - Dayton H.
Today, I got to be a part of the Subaru Loves to Care blanket donation to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center along with the Bergstrom Subaru representatives. This initiative has a very special place in my heart as I was a cancer patient and I know how the comfort of a warm blanket can be. Being able to join with LLS, Subaru and Bergstrom Subaru to give back to other patients who are going through cancer treatments is very rewarding. The nursing staff were all looking through the messages of hope cards that accompanied the blankets and were making mental notes as to which patient would benefit from the message. As we handed out the blankets and messages, there were plenty of smiles on everyone's faces. There may have been a tear or two as well. Thank you Bergstrom Subaru for your continued support as we work to find a cure!
Bergstrom Subaru's commitment to Make A Wish - Kris T.
Each year the team at Bergstrom Subaru, along with Bergstrom Automotive, combine resources to help fulfill Make A Wish wishes come true for local children. Hallie is one of those kids who was able to have her wish come true. Hallie is a sweet 8 year old girl from Oshkosh who loves dragons, doing arts and crafts, exploring outside for birds with her binoculars, reading books and much more! Hallie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She is going through treatments and despite how hard it has been on her, when she found out she was getting a wish, it had a big impact on her. Her mom says, "When Hallie found out she would be granted a wish, it sparked a change in her. The excitement has has about her wish trip makes the hard days better!" Her journey battling her critical illness is not over, but she is so excited about her special wish coming true. Thanks to the incredible Bergstrom Automotive team, along with Bergstrom Subaru, Hallie's special wish was able to come true. Hallie loves Star Wars, Lilo and Stitch, and Harry Potter, so when deciding upon her wish, it was no surprise that she wanted to go to Walt Disney World and meet all her favorite characters in person. She was also very exited about the rides and playing outside in the warm Florida weather! Hallie and her family were able to travel together and take a break from doctors and thoughts of scary procedures. The help provided by Bergstrom Subaru and Bergstrom Automotive provided the entire family with the renewed sense of hope and joy they need to continue fighting Hallie's medical condition. Thank you for your wonderful support to help make life-affirming wishes like Hallie's come true. We could not do this important work without you!
Ralphie's Tail of Hope - Ieva E.
Ralphie's journey began on a chilly September day in 2022 when he trotted into the Oshkosh Area Humane Society, a spirited pup with a heart as big as his paws. Found as a stray and transferred from the Wolf River Vet Clinic, he was a young, vibrant soul in need of a loving home. But despite his charm, Ralphie struggled to find his place in a kennel environment with the strange people, noises, and other animals. At just under a year old and weighing in at a solid 70 pounds, Ralphie's size, exuberance and lack of training made him a challenge for potential adopters. His boisterous nature and selective tendencies with other dogs didn't help his case either. Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, yet Ralphie remained overlooked, his hopeful eyes scanning each passing visitor for a glimpse of his future family. Then, like a beacon of light in the darkness, the Canine Crusader program was introduced in the summer of 2023. It was a lifeline for dogs like Ralphie who struggled to thrive in the shelter environment. Volunteers dedicated their time and love to provide extra care, training, and enrichment to help these dogs overcome their challenges and find their forever homes. Ralphie was chosen as a prime candidate for the program, and he was paired with a compassionate volunteer named Emily. With Emily by his side, Ralphie's transformation began. They embarked on a journey of discovery and growth, working tirelessly to channel Ralphie's boundless energy into positive outlets. From basic obedience to advanced tricks, Ralphie soaked up every lesson like a sponge, his tail wagging with newfound confidence. Months passed, and Ralphie's progress was nothing short of remarkable. His once-chaotic behavior gave way to a calm, well-mannered demeanor, and his bond with Emily grew stronger with each passing day. Finally, in December 2023, Ralphie's patience and resilience paid off when a loving family walked through the shelter doors and instantly fell in love with him. As Ralphie left the shelter behind and stepped into his new home, he knew that his days of waiting were finally over. With his new family by his side, he embraced a life filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures. Whether he was chasing squirrels in the backyard, snuggled up on the couch, or out for a leisurely stroll with his beloved family, Ralphie knew that he had found his place in the world. Thanks to Bergstrom Subaru partnering with us, this is not a unique story. Many, if not most, of the dogs ending up at our shelter have behavioral issues, and the only way to increase their likelihood of finding a forever home is to work with certified trainers during their time at the shelter as well after going home. OAHS provides financial assistance to pay for the post adoption training to set the pups up for success with their new family. We could not provide this costly service without our friends at Bergstrom Subaru. From the bottom of our hearts—thank you!
Thank You Bergstrom Subaru of Oshkosh! - Jessica C.
We are truly grateful for your continued support and our mission to improve the lives of children and families. I’d like to take this opportunity to share a few of the things made possible because of your investment in our Club. Over the past few years, our Club has been at capacity, our waitlists have been growing, and more parents have reached out looking for assistance. Because of this, you can imagine how exciting it’s been to watch our Club expand and transform, starting with the Bergstrom Automotive Learning Center, an expansion of the elementary side of our building. The recent completion of phase four of the project, including a Community Center, Teen Center and renovated Middle School Center marks a new chapter for our Club and allows us to serve 450 children daily (up from 300). With this, our operational budget grows and support like yours helps us to continue to provide our services and programs to the additional children we are serving. We’ve grown so much this year through our programs and partnerships and plan to add on more programs with our expansion, such as mental health and workforce development programs. With support like yours, here are some of the additional things we are able to provide at our Club: • Transportation: Through the addition of more vehicles and our new partnership with Kobussen, we can transport more kids to the Club each day for after-school care, including adding a route from Vel Phillips Middle School. We currently transport 150 children to the Club each day from six elementary and middle schools and two high schools. • Mentoring: Our BE GREAT: Graduate mentoring staff works with teens and middle schoolers one-on- one to stay on track for graduation and create a plan to be college, career and community ready. Our staff is onsite all day at Oshkosh West and North high schools. Because of this, we are able to serve 60 teens and have a 100% graduation rate! This spring, we were excited to expand this program into Vel Phillips Middle School and serve 30 more children. • Drivers Ed: For the third year, we’ve been able to offer three Drivers Education classes, allowing us to scholarship 45 teens to go through the program each year, including covering licenses and registration fees as well as the program fees. • Providing Basic Needs: Our Basic Needs Program did wonderful things for both kids and families this year. We gave out over 1,300 basic needs items, provided 300 showers, 558 Club scholarships, provided breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner to those in our afterschool and summer programs. We would not be able to expand our services and meet the growing needs of our community’s children and families without generous donors like Bergstrom Subaru of Oshkosh. Thank you for helping us build Great Futures for Oshkosh youth! - Thank you from everyone at the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh
